Supervision Project for the Construction of Phase One of Infrastructure Facilities for the 2,400-Hectare Area of Shahid Rajaee Port
Project Overview:
Shahid Rajaee Port Complex, benefiting from a unique geographical location at the closest point to the Strait of Hormuz and the entrance of the Persian Gulf, and due to its short distance from the main intercontinental shipping routes as well as its position at the intersection of the North–South transit corridor, is considered the most important gateway for imports and exports of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The project for the construction of Phase One of the infrastructure facilities for the 2,400-hectare lands of Shahid Rajaee Port, as one of the most significant development projects along the southern coasts of the country, commenced in 1403 (2024). The implementation of this infrastructure project, aimed at preparing 142 hectares of land located in the northern part of Shahid Rajaee Port, is regarded as a fundamental step toward increasing the port’s capacity and will play a key role in the development and growth of the country’s maritime trade.
The main objectives of implementing this project are as follows:
A. Increasing the capacity and upgrading Shahid Rajaee Port, transforming it from a second-generation port into a third-generation port at the global level.
B. Facilitating the long-term development of Shahid Rajaee Port through the establishment of a logistics–industrial zone in the hinterland.
C. Meeting Shahid Rajaee Port’s requirements for support and backup land.
D. Enhancing safety and environmental standards of Shahid Rajaee Port.
